James Ward-Prowse (born 1 November 1994) is an English footballer who plays for Southampton, as a midfielder.
Career
Ward-Prowse was born in Portsmouth and was the son of John Ward-Prowse,[1] a Farlington-based barrister.[2] Although his family were Portsmouth supporters,[1] he joined Southampton at the age of eight.[3] After playing youth football with their Academy, senior team manager Nigel Adkins announced on 24 October 2011 that Ward-Prowse would make his senior debut the next day, in a Carling Cup match against Crystal Palace.[4] Ward-Prowse played the full 90 minutes of a 2–0 defeat.[5]
